Perched in the green hills above Coral Bay, on the unhurried, un-cruise-shipped side of St. John, Mango Moon is where mornings start with bananaquits stealing your sugar and end with the kind of sunset people fly two thousand miles for. Two-thirds of the island is national park. The rest is beach.

Getting here

Fly into St. Thomas (STT). No passport needed for U.S. citizens, it's still the USA, just better snorkeling.
Taxi to Red Hook. About 20 minutes across the island.
Ferry to Cruz Bay. 20 breezy minutes, hourly on the hour.
Jeep to the villa. 35 scenic minutes over Centerline Road.

Each time we visit St. John we have an even better time than the previous visit. Somehow the beaches keep getting better.

Carter is an engineer and is always creating things that make life easy for others. Laini is a pharmacist and high school teacher. We live in Fort Worth, TX with our one-year-old, but our hearts remain on the beach.
